Richard Butler, New Paintings

I attended the opening of Richard Butler’s new exhibition at the Kevin Bruk Gallery in Miami this evening. It’s the best show I’ve seen in a long time. Butler’s paintings achieve a wondrously precarious balance between abstraction and representation. There’s an intensity and integrity to the work that really resonates with me … so much so, that I bought a painting ;-)
