Lorraine Simms, The Looking Room
Opening today at Galerie Division, Lorraine Simms’ latest solo show, The Looking Room, is a tour de force. In her paintings, the figures are playing dress up, but their vulnerability is exposed. The portraits have an understated eloquence, as Lorraine’s treatment is subtle, yet revealing. The exhibition is well worth a visit. It runs until June 27.
