A dance troupe from Düsseldorf perform Ben Riepe’s wonderfully macabre choreography at La Chapelle until March 10. The striking tableaux and inventive soundtrack are worth experiencing.

As a chorister in the McGill Choral Society, I’ll be performing The Messiah on Sunday, November 20 at Église Saint-Enfant-Jésus in Montreal.

Today at Philopolis I screened “Oh Mother!”, my doc featuring women who challenge myths about motherhood. Deborah VanSlet spoke about how her experience as a lesbian mum has differed from what she imagined when the film was made in 1998.

I nipped down to NYC to attend the opening of Richard Butler’s show at FREIGHT + VOLUME. A wonderful collection of recent paintings, it’s well worth a visit. The exhibition continues until March 26. (photos from my trip)

On a friend’s recommendation, I visited Opus 40 — an environmental sculpture garden by Harvey Fite at Saugerties, New York. I spent a thoroughly enjoyable and contemplative afternoon wandering around taking photos and drinking in the glorious view.
