Training Tool Kit for Community Health Workers in Somalia and Somaliland
Illustrations were created to highlight key messages on safe motherhood, with a view to strengthen their clinical skills and increase their knowledge.
Created in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Midwives, the aim was to develop representation that promotes community advocacy, and positively represents gender equality norms, consent and access to health care.
A style was developed to reflect Somali culture and portray the human form in accordance with Islamic teachings. These images have been endorsed by the Ministry of Health.
